The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week, so if you don't have time to Hop today, come back later and join the fun! This is a weekly event! And stop back throughout the weekend to see all the new blogs that are added! We get over 200 links every week!!
RULES:
Your blog should have content related to books, including, but not limited to book reviews.
1. Enter your book blog link in the Linky List below, including the genre that you review!
In your link, please state the main genre that you review: eclectic, contemp. fiction, ya, paranormal, mystery, non-fiction, etc.
Example: Crazy-for-Books (contemp. adult fiction)
2. Post about the Hop on your blog. Spread the word about the book party! The more the merrier! In your blog post, answer the following question (new question each week!).
If you have a suggestion for a future HOP question, click here to fill out the form! Thanks!
This week's question comes from Ivan who blogs at Ivan Bookworm:
"If you were given the chance to spend one day in a fictional world (from a book), which book would it be from and what would that place be?"
Hmmm, well, Dan Browns Davinci Code, PARIS! Yeah. The Louvre.
3. Visit other blogs in the Linky List! Make new friends! Follow new book bloggers! Talk about books! Rave about authors! Take the time to make a quality visit! Check out other posts and content, make a new friend! Don't randomly follow someone if you never intend on actually following them! No spamming please! (Please do not leave your link and not visit other blogs - it's just not cool and not in the spirit of the Hop!)
The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda's Voice.

This comes from the book Wrecker by Summer Wood. A Library Thing early reviewer book:
"They all turned to stare at the waves. Collectively, with horror, they searched for a bob of blond hair, for a flash of red sweatshirt."
Banana Blog Hop! What is the Banana Blog hop you say? Melville House
is hosting the Banana Blog Hop and here's what they have to say about it:
We’ve just released the new summer novel The Lake by Japanese sensation Banana Yoshimoto and so we’re going to center our first “Hop” around that book.
Here’s how you can participate and win free books.
1. Answer these questions on your blog.
“What’s the most unusual love story you’ve ever read?”
That is a tough question - I have been thinking about this and most of the love stories I've read are the usual story lines. One recent book I've read, not sure if its classified as a "love story" is The Preachers Bride by Jody Hedlund. Ummm, I don't read many love stories so this is kind of hard. Kristin Higgins, All I Ever Wanted not so unusual.
“What’s your favorite novel from another country?”
Oh, do Amy Tan's book qualify being in another country? I love her books. I also have read The Wind Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami.
“Why would you be interested in winning a copy of Banana Yoshimoto’s The Lake?”
Well, for one, the book sounds really good. I am also part Japanese , so anything Japanese is interesting to me!
2. Include the book’s cover in your post.
3. Add your blog link at MobyLives so everyone knows you’re participating and can link to your responses.
On Tuesday we’ll have a drawing and give away 5 free copies of The Lake to anyone who participated.
By the way, each novel sale helps contribute to Japan Disaster Relief.
You can participate in this meme by going to Mobylives

Paris sure would be nice.
Have a great weekend Natalie!
Heck yeah Paris would be awesome. I'd also like to live in a sleepy Southern town like the ones in Sarah Addison Allen's books.
New follower here!
xo,

Banana Hop? How cute! Natalie, I hope you will be participating in Bellezza's upcoming JLC-5.
You did a nice job with the Hops and Friday 56!
I've been wanting to read Wrecker...thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
that line from Wrecker is certainly eye-catching. might have to add it to the tbr.
I just got Wrecker in the mail and can't wait to read it! Glad to see you included it here!
I also like to visit Paris. I think that city is awesome and full of arts. Happy reading!

Great 56! Looks like a decent read!
Thanks for participating!
I've been by before, but I'm glad to have re-discovered your blog via the Hop.
I really enjoyed WRECKER, by the way - I'll be interested to see what you think of it!
I wouldn't mind being trapped in Paris either!
Hi! I'm Katie from Magicisinwords.blogspot.com and I participated in the Banana Blog Hop too. I actually checked the site and saw that I won! I saw that you did too so I'm just stopping by to say congradulations (even though that is spelled horrible wrong), to follow, and to just say that I hope you enjoy reading The Lake!
Hi it's Katie (:
I was just wondering if you had recieved your copy of The Lake yet. My mom said everything on the internet is a scam so I'm trying to convince her it's not! Haha, I hope you enjoy reading it.
