Teaser Tuesday! Kill Me Twice by Jerry Bayne

Its that time again! Teaser Tuesday where we all get to share a little hint from what we're reading.

My teaser comes from the book Kill Me Twice by Jerry Bayne: (Well a little more than 2 sentences)

 "Lieutenant Kelly reached into his jacket pocket.  He retrieved the black, metal bug and slid it across the table towards the feds. "Recognize it?" Stern picked it up. His eyes went from device to Kelly. "It's standard CIA, where'd you get it?" 

Excerpt: "He hovered over the Senator for just a second; then, with surgical precision, placed an ice pick at the base of Franklin's head, then pushed it through his cerebellum. The body twitched once; death was instantaneous. Showing no emotion, Cardiff sat in a winged back chair and looked at his handy work.  He had three or so hours to relax before snaking his way back into his coiled cage. He closed his eyes, not to sleep, but to breath in the smell of death oozing from Franklin's inebriated corpse......."     Ewwww sounds horrible! Wonder what he does next?
