Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
I have 2 teasers today! I just finished the book 600 Hours of Edward by Craig Lancaster. This book is a must read, I can't wait to post the review.
"On a Tuesday morning, when most of the rest of Billings is at work, my shopping goes easily: ground beef, spaghetti sauce, Banquet meals, DiGiorno's pizza (supreme this week), 12-pack of Diet Dr. Pepper, corn flakes, milk and ice cream. The self-checkout stand is a breeze, and soon I'm back in the 1997 Toyota Camry, right -turning my way home." - Page 94.
The other teaser comes from Giv: The Story of a Dog and America by Boston Teran.
"This is a great soul fallen on hard times. The worst was not the beatings, or the physical hunger. He has known both...."
A beautifully written book, I'm enjoying it so far.
