Another Fabulous Teaser Tuesday !

Teaser Tuesday is hosted by Should Be Reading and this is what she has to say about it:

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

After reading the first page of this book I could hardly put it down! I love the old English language, the Puritans and the history of 17/18th century England.
So this comes from the book The Preachers Bride by Jody Hedlund. It is classified as Christian Lit.

"The Bedell had clamped her head in a crude circle formed between two hinged boards, and he had locked her hands into the smaller circles on either side of her head, which would prevent her from protecting herself from anything the townspeople might throw at her. Her bright red hair fell in a tangled mass over her face, hiding her eyes."

pg 91.  Preacher's Bride, The

So what is YOUR teaser today?

Hi Suko! Did I say that right? Old English? I feel dumb now, I think that was the wrong phrase!! Someone correct me if I'm wrong :)
Yes I'm enjoying it very much!
I would love to go to a Renaissance fair and dress up .
