Its Monday !

It's Monday! What are you reading this week? is a weekly event to list the books completed last week, the books currently being reading, and the books to be finish this week. Hosted by J.Kaye's Book Blog .

that A Lucky Child: A Memoir of Surviving Auschwitz as a Young Boy by Thomas Buergenthal

I didn't get much reading done over the weekend because of the horrible migraine but i'm feeling better today and hopefully i can get caught up.

I'm also signed up for the book club over at Barnes and Noble :

I'm sure that will be in the mailbox today. The discussion starts i believe August 5th so i need to get that read asap.

I also was awarded the Lets Be Friends award by Sheila over at Book Journey !! So sweet of her to think of me. I really appreciate it and after such a horrible weekend it sure made my day.

Blogs that receive the Let’s Be Friends Award are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and befriends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers.

I would like to pass this award onto :

Anna at Diary of an Eccentric

Cathy Skye at Kittling Books

J. Kaye at J. Kaye Books

Louis at Lou's Page - Big hug :)

Ms Bookish

Well thats all for now. I hope everyone has a great week! Happy reading......

Book Review : A Circle of Souls by Preetham Grandhi - Its Monday!

A Circle of Souls By Preetham Grandhi

Awesome read!
Right at the beginning, i was hooked when the "slaaf" caught his prey for his master in hopes of pleasing him and to redeem him and i was so SCARED but i couldn't put it down!! I had to find out what this psycho was going to do next ! You know when your watching a movie and you know where the killer is and your yelling at the police "he's over there, can't you see that??!!" That's how i felt throughout the story, i was sitting on the edge of my seat, tensed and hoping when
i turned the page the police would figure it out!
The author incorporates his expertise in this psychological thriller.
Dr Peter Gram ,a child psychiatrist, is called in to treat Naya, who is having severe nightmares and what he finds out shocks him. Agent Leia Bines, FBI's expert in missing children is the lead in the investigation of a missing 6 year old girl Janet, who never made it home after school.
I'm not one to reveal too much of the story, you just have to read it, you definitely won't be disappointed!!

This one deserves a 10 - I hope he writes another Dr. Peter Gram book!

Its Monday What are You Reading?

I just finished A Circle of Souls

So whats next? Well my husband just bought me a
Sony Reader PRS 505-

But i need to finish Peony in Love: A Novel

So after that I thought i would read A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving.
I've always wanted to read it but its one of those that is on my long list of must reads but never got around to it. But now that its on my Sony, i think its time !

Hope you all have a great week and read lots of books .

Now, my husband is really into RC Trucks and here is a video of an RC Peterbilt that he built from scratch and he's mighty proud of it!

The video is kind of dark and hard to see the colors .

Well its that time again! Monday Monday.... So what am i reading?

Currently reading:

This is starting out slow for me. I 'm having a hard time getting into it.

Next up is :
From Amazon Review: From Publishers Weekly Starred Review. At the start of Freely's complex, often riveting novel set in contemporary and Cold War Turkey, a journalist known only as Miss M returns to Istanbul in 2005 after a long absence at the request of Jeannie Wakefield, whose father, William, was an American spy. Jeannie hopes that Miss M will write an article to help her husband, once Miss M's lover, who's been detained in the United States and sent to Guantánamo. A few months later, Jeannie disappears, leaving behind a long letter detailing events from the 1960s. The main narrative threads—extracts from Jeannie's letter; Miss M's memories of Istanbul from that same period and her present-day account of investigating Jeannie's long-ago indoctrination into a Communist cell, which was at one point charged with the infamous but possibly apocryphal Trunk Murder—interweave toward a quietly stunning conclusion. Both mystery/thriller and mainstream literary readers will be well rewarded. Freely is the English translator of Nobel Prize–winner Orhan Pamuk's novel, Snow. (May)

Oh i'm editing my reads for the week. Went to the library and picked up Water for Elephants: A Novel by Sara Gruen. I've wanted to read this badly and it was finally at the library! I also snagged Snow Flower and the Secret Fan: A Novel by Lisa See. I've seen some great reviews by this author so i thought i would see what it's all about. Happy Reading!!!

~~Anyway, last weekend we were supposed to go camping. It was a new camping spot, we've never been there and when we pulled in, the spot was too small for us to get into! Talk about a huge disappointment. My son was crying, poor guy. Sooo we ended up going t
o the town rodeo and staying the night by the river in a pull out. It wasn't so bad but its not camping!!

Have a happy week!!
